Microsoft lately announced what exactly means "computer ready for Windows Vista"
Till now people was talking about this theme alot. Ones said that VISTA will be able to work only on most powerfull monster PC, but others thought that vista isnt that bad actually and will allow us to use it with older systems. So what exactly VISTA will require?. More clearly and at least partly answer to this Microsoft has now announced and reveals us Windows Vista's technic requirement standarts.
Fuhrer mentioned points describes PC who teorethically can work with Vista OS. These are minimal requirements:
* x86 32-bit centralprocessor with at least 800 Mhz
* 512 MB RAM
* 20 GB HDD with at least 15GB free space
* CD-ROM
Computers signed as VISTA PREMIUM will be the ones who will handle all of requirements of it. User will be able to even to use new generation interface called Aero, and work on OS will be with no hasle or any of lags. Fuhrer mentioned reqs will describe minimal specifications for Vista Premium OS.
* x86 or x64 (64-bit) central processor with at least 1000 Mhz
* 1024 MB RAM
* good* Directx graphical processor with 128MB memory
* 40GB HDD with 15 GB free space
* DVD-ROM
* Sound card
* Network card
* with words good processor, Microsoft means video card that technically supports ShaderModel 2.0, WDDM (windows display driver) driver, 32 bits per pixel and contains adequat size of memory (at least 64MB). Optimal memory for vista is 2GB of RAM.
