I'll admit, I'm a fan of the "pop punk" generation :P I know. Let the hating commence. Alternative to light heavy-metal also appeal to me. Heavy is a bit to hard for me, generally.

Other bands include Red Hot Chili Peppers, In Flames (Swedish heavy alt metal band), Papa Roach, and many others.

I have started getting into rap/hip-hop as well. My fav rap band would have to be Wu-Tang Clan, Kanye West also has some original beats I enjoy.
