my friend is having some trouble wiht his computer

all of a sudden he restarted and a password was set and he cannot get in whatso ever

if anyone knos how to bypass the password or something please inform me

One of those six if not all is guaranteed to work. This has never happened to me so I am not 100% sure, but reinstalling Windows will defiitely work. He gets to keep all of his old files and the password will be reset to no password.

Is this a use account? Did you try loging in as administrator?

if it's XP home, boot up into safe mode...it won't ask for a login, and you can change your password from there.

He got it under control

He just restored it, im not sure how but he did :P
