Letting the dog out to go pee this morning around 5:30AM....Let her back in a few minutes later and noticed a rather pungent odor about her. Picked her up and almost puked. Ran her downstairs to the utility sink and gave her 2 baths. Took her back upstairs and put her in the garage to dry, shut the door, poured a cup of coffe and went back to see why she was barking......Needless to say what I saw made me throw her back into the laundry room and spill my coffee.....Can we say SKUNK!!!.....oh wait, not just one skunk but two in my garage.
First thing I learned was skunks ain't scared of nothing. You can't yell at them and expect them to run off. An hour later I finally convinced them to leave. Wish I had had chilli last night....could have made them leave earlier.
Second thing I learned is when that skunk spray hits a concrete floor it soaks in and makes itself at home.....I used a concoction of bleach, baking soda and water and it still stinks. A local contractor told me to reseal the concrete to keep the odor from coming out of it...I'll let you know how that worked later after the sealer dries.
Pretty little kitty cats my arse!
