Has anyone else had a problem with youtube suddenly slowing to a crawl all of a sudden? It used to be fast as hell for me. Now for like 2 weeks it's barely even watchable - takes like 5 minutes to load up a 1 minute movie.

And everything else still runs ~500K speeds for me - just youtube is slow.

I think it has something to do with the number of people viewing that particular item. I read that somewhere so don't take it as Gospel.

for youtube, i am not really certain how their scheme works. as you know, on the internet everything is about bandwidth, and bandwidth costs lots of money. videos soak up a ton of bandwidth. a content provider has to make enough money to cover the expenses. you see this with the file sharing services, where they provide premium connections to paying members. so i guess youtube is probably having growing pains. it does seem though that they came from out of nowhere....
