Do you guys think UT 2004 will die...

I have 2003 but Im thinking of getting 2004 because more people are online. Do you guys think UT 2004 will die once UT 2007 comes out? I would get 2007 but my computer will be too slow.

2004 is already pretty much dead except at the competitive level. I think more people play on the demo servers more than the regular servers. Or at least that was the way it was when I still played. Actually I think more people play the original UT then play 2003 or 2004.

I check gamespyarcade.com and UT 2004 has more than 2003 and the normal UT, 2003 is pretty much dead (only 200 players), 2004 has like 6000+ players.

TAM is alive and well, many pubs with many players.

people will still be around i think, especially as not everyone I'm sure will want to make the switch to 2007. But like any other game that has a newer version come out....the older does risk being handed off

When 2004 came out it didn't take {DS} long to make the switch, and we've never gone back. I can see this happening again when 2007 comes out.

Part of that is b/c 2003 sucked...

I think '04 will have a little lasting power, just b/c '07 is gonna require a hardware upgrade unless you've upgraded just recently. but as soon as it's cheap to upgrade to hw that will support '07, I think '04 will die fairly quickly.

A lot of people will be playing Source but not as much as Counter Strike ;)

so the answer is 04' will not die , but way more than likely have more players than 07'
