I have just recently downloaded the demo to UT 2003 and have noticed that there is no lag but you gotta love SSSE.

Wiat until you get the full version! I don't know if they updated the demo since I had it, but when I had the demo, it was crap compared to the full version!

Sam is great for the speed and old style weapons, but the eye candy and all the wizzardry that comes with UT is awesome. Plus only once and I meen once did I see the name calling that you get during games likein Sam! Hell, UT has taunts built in, so nobody takes it seriously!...Unless you play against the [GR] clan.
