Not them, I meant joo guys, sukkaz!!!
The art of magic is all about mis-direction,
it is about making something appear to have happened that actually did not.
So you see these 'failed magic tricks' and what do they do?
they build excitement, make things more real, make you want to
watch again, to see if they screw up again

how to tell?

1) there are no such things as people selected from the audience.
magic demands controlling every aspect of a trick. having an actual
audience member breaks this rule and can easily ruin any trick

2) Look at the showmanship aspect: in the first trick the guy jabs his
hand and 'manages' to get blood on his assistants face. very convienent,
also probably very unlikely that a palm cut you would splatter blood
in that fashion. This is magic drama, to 'prove' what happened was real.

3) In the second trick we have an 'audience member'. this makes the trick more
believable and emotionally scary and real. the woman is lead away then the
magician looks under the last cup to prove it is empty. this is for the
audience only, to 'prove' that what just happened was real. afterwards there
is the interview with her and other people. all fake.

Excellent tricks!

Well if it's fake it was done really well, because on the first one the knife goes all the way through his hand and comes out the other side. Quite a trick in itself, and something I'm sure the magician would want to make sure the audience saw clearly, but instead he pulled that sucker back out awfully quickly. I vote it was a real screw-up.

Fake or not looked real to me and made me flinch.
