Some places like the Northeast which has a rich tradition of supersition, religion, and history, have special names for tonight because of the pranks that were pulled as far back as colonial times.

Guess we do things differently out here in boring old MI. My parent's tree grove gets TP'ed perenially on Halloween night, but never the night before.

I've never heard of anyone doing anythign the night before.

You eastern folks are weird. :P

Its called Mischief Night here and yes, it is the night before Halloween (today!).
People mostly just go around, tp'ing and egging houses.

my neighbor had her back winshield smashed with a giant rock and i had my mailbox exploded (yes, exploded) around 10 years ago

No real traditional stuff concerning the night before Halloween here (Western Washington).
I've heard it called "Hallow's Eve", but I think that was in a movie. :)

I woke up thi morning to find the whole campus covered in toilet paper. And the pumpkins smashed outside the president's office. And security posted that all trouble makers who are caught will be punished. LOL

Oh so they make sure that you drink and hope that you will get behind the wheel afterwards. Seems logical to me.

LOL, that's funny the same thing happened here at are local collage today, don't know about a pumpkin being smashed thought in front of the Pres office.
