We were out for trick or treating but the kids collected on an insane amount. It's borderline rediculous  You know those giant halloween candy bowls? We have three of them filled right to the top.

I'm completely exhausted lol......

We had 5, but they were all expected - children of friends.

As soon as they came, we shut the lights off and left the house.

WOW I am sure as a child you wouldn't have liked to see a house without the lights on.

meh. At least 1/2 of the years I just did the T-O-T @ school and called it good.

Besides, even if I had stayed, that would most likely have been it, maybe 1 more kid. And since people are driving by b/c I live in the country ,it just means that parents won't stop at our house. No biggie.

Although, for the record, if I lived in the city, with kids all around...I still would have done it.

I grew up with a mom that bought bags of candy, and a dad that shut off the lights as soon as we left to go trick or treating. Doesn't bother me in the slightest whether or not I participate.

I feel slightly better but I'm still on my Halloween crusade

Yea those fat bastards kids need to start eating healthy. People should hand out diet pills instead of candy.

I got zero; of course, posting a sign that read "Trespassers Will Be Shot" on the front door helped, too (J/K). :D

Every year it seems less and less people go trick or treating. So many houses where people wouldn't answer the door and I knew they were home because there is a car parked outside or I see the tv on. Funny thing is, most of these people had rich houses and big tv's that I could see from the window. Ugh....

It has very little do with money and very much for not liking strange little kids.

At least for me anyways.

We put on an awesome Halloween display. Could you expect anything else from someone who loves Castlevania??!

Not as much as I used to, but there's far more truth in that than you're aware of.

I can never count how many people we have come by our house Halloween night, but it's gotta be in the hundreds. My neighborhood gets quite active when it comes to trick-or-treating.
