I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I will use deadly force before I let them send my sons to war. Are we the only ****ing free country in the world with an army? I'm sick of us fighting everyone everywhere virtually alone.

**** the democrats. Out of the fire and into the frying pan we go.

If I am ever asked by the government to serve for my country (the country where I have lived for most of my life) IN my country, then I would probably say yes. However, if it involved going overseas then I would have to strongly object because I believe that we have no business in Iraq or anywhere else besides HERE.

As Lewis Black once said "Republicans are a party of bad ideas. Democrats are a party of no ideas."

eh, the whole thing is a farce. i think it is just being used for shock value to point out the huge unpopularity of the war. they may present a bill but I doubt it will pass and I doubly doubt bush would be dumb enough to sign it, although I may be wrong about the latter point....

Way to go Democrats. Now all the republican haters will have someone else to hate. All you need now it to elect Hillary so you can pay more taxes and send your kids to war without their consent.

If it wasn't for GWB in the first place, the draft wouldn't even be a issue. :D

Pretty much sums up my feelings on this as well! This would be a quick way to put the republicans back in power in 08, I don't think the Dems are that stupid, but then again.......

I think Mad Fox is right about this one. The draft idea did not win the support of the Democrats before and it will not this time. Charles Rangel is by himself on this one.
