Jeez, the guy died half a mile from his family on the way back. I've been following this story and it's while it's heart-breaking, it's also amazing what this guy endured to save his family.

Just a mile or so down the road, however, was a fishing lodge where he could have found shelter, warmth, and enough food for months.
