I am looking to connect a 9700 Pro Card to an LCd monitor using the DVI imput. What type of cable do I need? I tried a DVI cable for a TV but that did not work. What can I use and where can I get one?

Did your card come with an S video cord? It woud have a jack at one end (goes to TV) and the S video "plug" at the other end (goes into card).

Hook the cord up and do a reboot

then go into desktop properties to set up your card for two displays

you'll have the option of making a mirror image or extending your desktop

He wants to connect his video card to an LCD monitor not a TV as far as I understand. Assuming your card has a white DVI slot (which it should) then all you would need is this. (http://www.riteav.com/product_info.php?cPath=47_51_86&products_id=92&osCsid=73f70b126dd7eb18749fdc99474720d8)
