Tom & Jerry is one of the few cartoons I enjoy, R.I.P. Mr Barbera

Sadly, his stuff never really hit me right, except Scooby Doo. However, he helped develop an industry and push it forward, and create a great childhood for many kids, and for that the world will miss you, sir!

I remember as a kid waking up early on Saturday mornings and sneaking into the den to turn on the only TV in the house to watch cartoons on the three channels we had back then. No remotes back then, just a knob. I would turn the volume down real low so my dad would not hear it, wake up and come turn it off.
