My guess: At military practice the Goalkeeper settings are set too sensitive (This really happened in the past :D)

That's kind of scary. Check out this article about a smaller group of dead birds found here in Austin, TX.

It's a sign of the rapture!! That would really suck for the non-believers such as myself. But I am a good person so I don't think I have much to worry about.

I never trully believe anyone who says they are a non believer. I usually find that to be a farce. I can guarantee that nomatter what, if one day you have a family and you have children you will be doing two things which is thanking God (Any Religion) for your children and also praying for their safety.

For those that seem to push religion out seem to fail to remember that pushing when something happends in the world or life that interferes with their life. As an example, the school shootings where several people, kids were shot. They pushed religion out of school but when needed someone was there praying they did not get shot.

There is a moral to that story and I can only hope you or anyone can see what it is.

I can honestly say that I do not believe in a single supreme divine being. Whether it's God or any other name people give Him. I have my reasons and I have adopted a fairly simple philosophy that can account for the fact that God is not necessary in my life or for me to be able to make sense of the world. To me God is simply a fairy tale, a work of pure fiction. Anyone that believes otherwise is not wrong, they just see the world differently from myself or possibly have blind faith in a God or some other divine being.

There will never be enough solid evidence to prove that something was an act of God and not nature.

Hmmm, You know I have had this discussion many times with people and many say the same thing. No need for God or their is no proof. With that I would like to say that although I have no proof to offer I can say that there is enough evidience. Scientists can come up with what ever they want. By the time they can figure out anything it comes out different or another study finds it different in another test 10 years later. To be honest I would believe a comic book before I belive in actual science. Anyone can give a quick answer but with out the root answer what difference does it make as it is all based on theory. As far as religion goes, I don't push it on anyone but there are some facts that should make religion something to look at.

A family that prays together stays together.
Religion will teach morals and teach respect.
Religion teaches you to give something back one way or another to fellow man.

Today all religions are under attack. It has been said that religion is the cause of all of the problems in the world. To me anyone who says that is just an ignorant asshole. It's and easy way to blame something but themself for what is wrong. What's wrong with the world is that all of us are a bunch off assholes that can't figure it out. Any religion or group that preaches/teaches hate is just plain wrong. The problem with America is the lack of morals and religion in the American home. Everything that has to do with some sort of media bashes religion more and more today. Years ago America was strong and together which made us so great. Today we are broken and there seems no way to fixing such a mess. People have become to lazy in every aspect of life from raising our children to accepting any sort of responsibility for what they do that may add to weakening this or their country. Greed and selfishness is not the blame, it is us that is to blame.

EXE, I notice one thing that makes me belive you are just not ready to believe something and maybe that is what you are saying. You mentione you are a good person so you dont think you have anything to worry about. I only met you once and you seem to be a nice person I can agree. I would like to say though with that you kind of explained why it may appear someone may not want to believe in any sort of religion. I guess for many it is easier not belive in any God than it is to accept any responsibility for ones morals. I thank God or an gratefull according to my religion that the GOD I believe in forgives me for my wrong doings as long as I accept them as wrong and ask for forgiveness. To me that is a burden offf my shoulders and it seems acceptable to me because I can agree with forgiveness as one would do with their own child. I can not ever see my Child doing anything that I could ever dismiss her or not love her. What would suck though if she decided not to believe in me and want nothing to do with me.

One thing I have learned the past couple of years is that Life really is simple and it's us that make it difficult.

As far as I see (admittantly, I scanned, not read), you've shown like 10 articles that all say that things died, but none says anything about how this could be some huge plot by some maniacal entity.

I guess I assumed when you said that it wasn't a "natural phenomenon" that you were implying that someone was directly murdering these animals, experimentally or whatever. I got this by connecting it to your previous post w/ links to the weird guns.

I'm not saying that I'm naive enough to think that the government never does anything sinister and keeps it to themselves, I just can't take you seriously ever, b/c all you ever do is come in, wave your "Wand of Everyone Is Doomed" and leave. You never provide any sort of backup for yourself. Also, most of the time when you wave that wand, I couldn't care less. I mean, honstly. Let's say the government is the one that killed all these animals. Who cares? I'm not an eco-guy, so i couldn't care less if a bunch of animals die.

If you were simply saying that it's the result of how we live - pollution, etc - I can agree with that.

I know there have been many recorded instances when the military has been known to be testing powerful radar systems and subsequently there are mass beachings of whales and dolphins along the coast...could be there is something similarly occuring with the birds, especially as the autopsies can find nothing infectious among the birds

Honestly Bob, it could be any of a dozen causes for the birds dying, with unknown causes...anything from methane release to em radiation to sonic microwaves.

One thing's for sure, birds be dyin yo.

on a totally unrelated note, today oxygen is about 21% of the air we breath. In major cities with strong pollution it can be as low as 10% A few thousand years ago the air had about 50% more oxygen than today.
