NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A mother faces criminal charges after she hired a stripper to dance at her 16-year-old son’s birthday party.

Anette Pharris, 34, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and involving a minor in obscene acts. The boy’s father, the stripper and two others also face charges.

“I tried to do something special for my son,” Pharris said. “It didn’t harm him.”

Why is it any business of the courts if the mom gives the son a stripper for his birthday? He didn't object, the mom didn't object, I'm sure the stripper didn't object, and no one else at the party objected. It was the freakin drug store photo developers that stuck their noses where they didn't belong

The only problem is the other Kids underage that I can see. Unless the parents where given consent from their parents then everything should be ok. In my opinion the government has gotten to where they want to be able to raise our kids the way they want us too. Alot of the kids know that the hands of the parents are tied and abuse the parents to no end.

I think that its inappropriate for a child to have a stripper. But it seems as if they could do what they want. And i think that it may be the drug stores policy to turn in suspicious photos. And no matter which way you spin it the kids were underage and that breaks the law.

When you're 16, you're a man, you not a freakin child. Most of everyone I know has had an active sex life since 16 so to pretend like we're children is stupid and idiotic. I guess people in Congress are too busy sucking off little boys to realize at least a tad of logic these days. This law is completely stupid and just cuz its the law doesn't mean you need to obey it, unless you want to be a good little socialist slave :rolleyes:

Eh, some people caould have children as young as 12. So that description is soso. But I dont think at 16 i was that mature. But the law is the law and until it is altered people who are in charge of enforcement must follow it.

Children having children is not good. I think that your a child until at least 17. If I was 16 I wouldnt be having a party with my mother around.

A girl somewhere in UK had a child at 11. Under the law she is STILL a child, but if i went through all the pain of having a baby - i'd HAVE to be a lot maturer. So i'd class myself as an adult.
About the stripper thing, his MUM hired him a stripper? how cringey is that.. But i guess he was 16, and over here [ not sure where it went on ] at 16 you can make your own desicions about sex. So you'd probably get away with it - it's not like it was actually sex.
i also kinda agree with Nitro, that when you can have a child and when you're ready i think it's up to you what you do; have a child or not. It's your body, basicly.
