Announcing New Serious Sam Tourney!

Me and EXE decided to make together the new Serious Sam Tournament.

We want you to sign in untill the 3rd April. It's gonna be 2vs2 tournament.
You can choose your game partner. Euro with Euro , USA with USA , Euro with USA , doesn't matter.

We choosed those maps : Little Trouble , Shotty Trouble , Hole and Fortress.

Fraglimit : 35. Difficulty : Hard.

Server will be given soon because we do not know yet which one. We all know that it's gonna be a bit laggy but it's Serious Sam. ;)

It will 100% work out so do not worry.

Please write here with who are you going to team. I will set with Exe time/dates properly - don't worry.
It's gonna be a great fun! :D

I'm not experienced in Tourneys, but what I've learn from them is:
leave them ! they never work
how many times (in 9 months) you tried to do that and it didn't work?

Yup, exactly what Fifth and I were planning to do. All you have to do is sign up. If you don't like the rules/maps then don't but this is a good way to just get the people to start participating. With the GM Tourneys (which were successful btw) all info was given out and all people did was register.

Soon after we have a good amount of people/teams signed up we will schedule times for matches. They will most likely be during weekends so that everyone won't have school/work to worry about. Time frames will be fair for both European players and American players so that no one is playing too late at night or too early in the morning.

During each match at least two people will record demos and take screenshots (since demos can corrupt) and then post their final screenshot and demo in another thread that we will start once we have the times for all of the matches.

The only way this will fail is if we do not get enough people to sign up so PLEASE if you are interested in playing SIGN UP! Leave your egos out of this. It's up to you to decide who your team mate will be. It would even things out greatly if each team had an "experienced"/"good" player and a "less experienced"/"worse" player so the tourney can be fair.

About the tournament itself , when you read Exe's post you can clearly see organizers take it very seriously so you all can sign up this tournament will be great :thumbs: 20 teams would be amazing , we could have groups etc... :P

Yea it was fun playing with Dre. It's rare that I get into a match where I need to use all of the tactics I know to outmaneuver and to outsmart my opponent in order to win. I had a great time even though I was losing. GG. :thumbs:

I think that 10 teams is a good start. Sure it would be great if we got a couple more but since we are just starting out we shouldn't be aiming too high. Now all we need is for ClanBase to decide on who will be the game supervisor(s) so that we can set up the ladder on their site. :)

Ok here's another idea. Since we seem to be in conflict over the server location let's change the rules around a bit.


1.) Two games will be played. One on a Euro server such as FIGONA and another one in a USA server such as Grim Reapers or Outlaws.

2.) If both teams only have Euro players then they can decide to play two matches on a Euro server instead of one on a USA server and one on a Euro server.

3.) The same rule applies if both teams have only USA players. Both teams can play two games on a USA server.

4.) Finally if the teams have players from Europe and USA then they will end up playing a match on a Euro server and a match on a USA server.

This seems fair to me, what do you guys think?

yea this is what my problem was, when I clicked on "refresh" then there was a "20-second-lag" and after that I could move the mouse again:down:
