I have seen all 3 movies and gotta say, WOW....the shear difference in animation quality is a testament to the series popularity. I haven't seen all of the 1st GiG, but I do have the second gig and will say that it is just as interesting as the other parts.

I would say that the GitS series is one of the most influential series that truely sets anime apart from children's cartoons

I saw the first one.. didnt see the 2nd... and was the 3rd really a movie? It was an OVA wasn't it?

the third GitS movie (Solid State Society) will be available for purchase in the USA and region 1
