Imagine the flames on this sucker. If it is enough to collapse an overpass imagine being next to it. The Driver was lucky to escape.

Witnesses reported flames rising up to 200 feet into the air. Heat exceeded 2,750 degrees and caused the steel beams holding up the interchange from eastbound I-80 to eastbound Interstate 580 above to buckle and bolts holding the structure together to melt, leading to the collapse, California Department of Transportation director Will Kempton said.

That was pretty crazy. I was in CA on business over the weekend and no one could believe the reports that the driver survived. Traffic in the bay area will probably adjust as there are alternate routes from what I heard

Oddly enough, the same exact thing happened here in Florida a month or two ago. Wierd huh?
