So does anyone here play poker much?
I've joined a local Hold 'Em league. It's all free, but the top points winners play a tourney at the end of the year and the winner of that tourney gets a collectible car. It's not been determined yet but it's currently between a '65 Mustang Fastback and a '78 Pace Car Corvette.
Not bad, though I don't expect to be in that tourney. It's fun to shoot for though!
The league is free - money is made by the bar/club/whatever paying the company to host the games.
I'm playing twice a week right now - Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday game is mostly just because I like the wings at the place where they have the game and there's usually nothing going on on Sundays.
So far I've won two of the daily tournaments and hit the final table twice as well.
