Hi Guys/Girls,

I'd like your opinion as far as gaming mice goes.

I would like to replace my Logitech mx 510 gaming mouse which has done an outstanding job (imho)and is due to extensive use ready to be replaced.

Because I'm satisfied with my logitech mouse, I'm primarily looking at the follow-up gaming mice by logitech namely the mx518 and the G3

Which one would you favour? The Mx518 (1600dpi) or the G3 (2000dpi with laser technology)

I'm open to other suggestions as well but it needs to be a corded mouse, designed for gaming

I use the MX518. Nice design, nice handling. Optimal for me to play.

I am currently using the Razer DeathAdder (http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=43). It's designed specifically for gaming, has an infared sensor, looks much sleeker than the Logitech mice and has great drivers that enable things like On-the-Fly Sensitivity.

It's a bit steep on the price side compared to the Logitech mice. Sells for $52 at newegg. So check it out.

I have just bought the Logitech G5 Gaming-Grade Laser mouse. Bit expensive but very good. You can adjust how heavy or light you want the mouse to be too.

You know you're getting ripped off when you live in Europe...
the local store charges 60 EURO for the mx518 and for the G3

which would make your $52 a bargain :-p

Hah! Well I'd go for it then assuming that newegg ships internationally.

razors have chord issues.

If your mouse is less than 5 years old, e-mail their customer service, and they will replace it for free! I am doing that now with my 510.

FREE!!

otherwise, stick with Logitech.

Yep, Logitech G5 is the mouse. :P

"Customizable weight and sensor resolution let you tailor the feel of the mouse to different activities; 2,000dpi maximum-resolution laser sensor provides the highest sensitivity available."

I've had it for 2 years now and it's the best mouse i've ever used.

I recommend Logitech G5 Laser Mouse.
