PS3 Price Drop

Sony has finally gone ahead and dropped the PS3 console price $100.

I'd read about this but wanted to wait and see if it came through. Looks like it did!

I'd like to get one now, though 500 is still a lotta money for a console.

The price drop is just a way of selling off all the 60 GB models. Sony did the same with the 20 GB model which is no longer in production. If your on the fence about getting a PS3, now would be a good time to pick one up. You can swap out the hard drive without voiding the warranty, if your concerned about storage space.

Yea its not really a price drop at all in the long run. It only applies to the 60 GB versions and they are replacing them with the 80GB which are $599.
