they have an expansion coming in a couple of weeks. retail has gone down to $30 for the game ($25 @ frys). It was worth the fifty, much more so for $30. steam may have a half-price sale when the expansion comes out, so it might be worth a wait.

One of my comments on the high score list (all of which I regret making and wish I could delete) said that this tetris is one of the worst created: blocks are placed upon the insant they touch the ground, it lags whenever a block is placed, and to move it really fast you have to jam the arrow a bunch of times really fast, or hold it down for a second, which isn't exactly plausible at times. After level 10, it does NOT actually get faster (though I know you know this), but the score does increase. If you mess up once and you're half way up, you'll probably keep messing up until you die because the blocks hit the pieces on the ground too quickly. :bawling:

nick is probably doing a variation of the martingale gambling system. here you just double up each time you win until you go broke. if you do a decent job and repeat it enough times you can get a high score. doesn't work so well with real money though, as you do not "restart" with more money after a total loss....
