New NetConnection setting has password in script, to join server, so you won't need write that anymore. But if you want, pass is "gamezone24"

This is in use at Figona Shotty

copy to /sam/scripts/netsettings

How can i make this on my server so the server doesnt get full since i want shotty trouble on the rotation really bad.

its just like a script that includes the pw so you just have to pick that instead of what you normally pick for the server.

Server has password so noobs not take a slot. You can join with "gamezone24" password if you like, but it's not so funny write that every time u play it.

Yeah this is the only "fix" for 1.07 custom map problem.


You don't need this in 1.05 as this problem doesn't exist there. ;)

what is this difference between:

"xdsl or cable modem to gamezone..."
"Ultra connection to gamezone..."
"ultra"

for me i always connect to all servers as: "56k modem-high quality connection" even though i have a DSL modem...my ping is slighter higher with this setting but with lesser spikes/lag :D

Ultra is my own (what ive been using, not come in this)
GZ Ultra is same but it have that password included to join server
xdsl gz is same as normal xdsl but pass included too :P

How you have spikes with xdsl ?

Our internet is DSL but the modem/router is in my brother's room...as I'm connected wireless to him...anyways when I choose xdsl connection for Serious Sam, i get lower ping but with yellow spikes but when i choose 56k high quality connection i get a little bit higher ping but hardly no spikes at all as u can see from my recent screenshots i have posted...

anyways thks for the explanation :thumbs:
