My daughters first competition

I just (finally) got the photo from the photographer of my daughters first competition. This was taken in August when she was still 4. She's doing great for her first year and has placed 2nd in most of her classes. At her second show she got 2nd in all her classes and reserve champion for her division. :thumbs:

The kids she's competing against are about 6ish so she's doing really well. (actually at the last show, the girl who won first looked soooo old, either pushing 7 or was 7. Just a tidbit of age limitations.....Her division is up to 6 years of age and you can qualify age wise if you are of the age of 6 on January 1st of that competition year. So you can turn 7 on Jan 2nd and still squeak into that division.)

The muscle development at 4 just isn't there compared to a 6 or 7 year olds so it's really hard for riders that young to be able to have the strength and balance to stay centered with correct form for the judge, but she's pulling it off. (yes I'm proud :D )

That's amazing! I've always really loved horses and wished I had a chance to ride them. And for her to be doing well at 5 years old is really really cool!
