My brother has one and he really likes it, I've not been around it much but going by what he tells me, it's smart and was pretty easy to train.

I've never had one but I know one. I've been thinking about getting a second dog and actually last week I looked through the MSPCA website to see what they had on Boston Terriers. :) They're great dogs.

This is a pretty accurate description of the breed.

yes, I was concerned about little dog syndrome, also, I like to hike, was worried this little guy wouldn't keep up. :dunno:

I have until Wed to decide. I go back to court with the Ex on Monday, yes, another fight for Little E  Then Tuesday, possible root canal :(

Not the best time, but then again, maybe it's what I need??

dang, got a double smack upside the head goin on eh?

from what I've seen fo the dogs, they're cool. Not overly useful (like golden retriever or german shepherd) but still good companionship.

I've never had one personally, but when I worked at the vet's office (many years ago), we had several to come in and board with us, and I loved them all. They had such wonderful bubbly personalities. My concern would be with the amount of hiking you do, how strenuous your treks are, and how hot it would be when you go on your hiking excursions. The longer more difficult terrains with lots of steepness might be a problem for them, and I wouldn't recommend hiking in the summer with them if it gets really hot and humid in your area. Animals are alot of responsibility, but they give us so much in return.

Also, I'm very sorry to hear you're having to deal with another court date for your son. I can't imagine how frustrating and difficult that must be. :( I hope it goes smoothly for you.
