I say the Egg because the reason is down to the fact that genetic material does not change during an animal's life.

Therefore the first bird that evolved into what we would call a chicken, probably in prehistoric times, must have first existed as an embryo inside an egg.

I say it was the egg I read on this a while ago and CNN had a special on this subject also watching history channel they talk about this and it pretty much explains a good reason why the egg came first.

I voted chicken based on my biblical beliefs, however, I suppose when it said "God created animals", it didn't say that explicitly how we created them, so he could have created Chickens in egg form that hatched after. However, since a mammal would require a living animal first, since it doesn't hatch, I assume that was the way it all went down, meaning by my belief, the chicken was first.

Of course, any time I hear this question, I chuckle b/c of this:

When someone creates living creatures, it is always easier to create them in a more-premature state. Creating a single-celled organism is much less labourous than creating a full-blown bird with all its organs, liquids, electrical wiring, etc. Therefore, the odds are that whoever created this thing we call a chicken, made an egg first because of the sheer simplicity it is to make when compared to a full-sized chicken. However, the possibility does exist that the chicken came first, in order to incubate the egg so it doesn't die. However, there could have been hundreds of chickens AND eggs made at the same time as well or cloned or genetically engineered or who the hell knows.

No point in asking questions that we can't answer.

It's obvious that the dinosaur was before the chicken. Dinosaurs also laid eggs so it's clear that the (unspecified) egg was first :P
