So airsoft is a totally amazing sport, and unlike anything else out there. However since the woods are mostly foliage free as you can see from the pics, the game was pretty standoffish. I managed to go the entire day w/out getting shot, of course i didnt kill anyone either, but i did swing at "revives" in the process of doing nothing. I cant WAIT for the next game! Its expensive to get into, but if you can afford it, oh mah geed, SOOOOOO much fun!

Is using live ammunition frowned upon?

lmao exe, just a skosh, although someone modded their shotgun shells to use airsoft BB's, of course THAT gun isnt legal either.

@ term
yea its mostly honor system, there are normally safety people and refs amongst the players making sure they're calling their hits. Respawning and objectives both depend on the scenario. In this case, there were 10 min respawns, and the defending team had to defend a Missle Silo, and protect a hostage we had captured.

@Suicidal
it depends on what kinda gameplay you're looking for really, airsoft is REALLY milsim based, however the magazine size is far greater then a real gun. Paintball, to me is more of a spam fest, I prefer actually having to use tactics and things like that.

ive heard as far as getting hit, they feel about the same, but airsoft is more expensive in the short term, as far as buying gear but VASTLY cheaper to buy ammo, since thats pretty much the only thing you need to continue playing, whereas with paintball, the ammo isnt cheap, then you have to buy Co2, etc. your gun can range from 50-1200 depending on what you want, i wouldnt recommend something that costs 50 dollars though, these arent your backyard games. :P My gun for example was 360, however its a full metal body from a company that makes really quality stuff and the only company that has a really good warranty...or any warranty that is! haha
