Anyone know?

What to use to change a vid clip from .mov to .avi or .wmv or a program that can compress .mov?

All my family lives in Boston and a few asked me to take a few clips of my sons Lacrosse games, but my camera makes them .mov and I dont have anything that will compress those files. I use VirtualDub, but it can't detect .mov types.

That make any sense? :P If so, anyone have able to give a suggestion? I'm a nooblet at this.

Ok, since I posted that I had converted the file but I have another problem. I'm a virgin youtuber and dunno if I'm supposed to do this another way, but it's taking 100 years to get the vid to play after I've uploaded it.

I've already compressed the vid. Any ideas why it's not playing here?

did you try just uploading it as is? youtube does their own compression/conversion. you may have confused their system. :)
