heh stupid game, running around for at least 90 minutes, and on both sides there is a guy who won't let the rest put the ball between two sticks, what is so exciting about this sh1t???

Germany:The defense sucks as hell at the moment and many players are running afterwards their form.
Italy: Great team and I think that they are a big favourit to win.
France: Also great.
Netherlands: Don't think that they will shear something.

anyway I hope that Germany will win (ofc)

Uhu don't like their play either (although it seems to be effective) especially all that theatrical stuff but the referee was a good one :thumbs:

hell yea, italian team and their style is the one I don't like the most, and Poland is 4 the first time in euro but as I saw last match-nothing has changed, they still don't know what they are there for, chaotically running around, noone to pass effectively or shoot:down:So as always Im looking forward to see Netherlands on top:thumbs:go go orange shirts:wootrock:Ruud:devil::thumbs:

uhh I got pissed off by their first half and by the referee ho in las minutes...heh I bet thousands of ppl wished him death after this last minute.
Damn bastard, but the truth is that they should play good from the first minutes of 1st half not 2nd, score another and that would be end of story.

Yeah, as always-Germany's start was not so good but match after match they are back in shape, go go brothers Germans.
That is football championship-there is always a winner and loser, sad but true.
I admit, I was expecting something more from Portugals, but that didn't happen. Germans showed again that they are strong team:thumbs:I enjoyed this match very much:thumbs:

It may just be me but it sure seems strange that a game can end tied at 0 and there be a winner.

Not strange :P

In case you ain't familiar with the rules:
In the knock-out phase of a tournament there must be a winner. So if there is a tie during the regular playtime (90 min.) there will be first an extension of 2 * 15 min. if it's still a tie both teams must take 5 penalties against the other team after this, if the score is again equal, both teams will take one penalty after the other till one team fails. That's why there can be still a winner with a score of 0-0 :thumbs:

It's strange to us. Most games that we're familiar with, if you won the 5-penalty kick round 4-2, and the game was tied 1-1, we'd be familiar with either saying that you won 5-3, or maybe that you won 2-1. I can understand why soccer denotes it the way it does - as the penalty kick is different than a regular goal, it just seems like it's over-confusing it, that's all :P

@ sho, it's less confusing if you see that it's often written (at least, that's how ESPN does it) that they had a final score of "0-0 (4-2)"

finally...when is this all done? they keep playing highlights of soccer during my ESPN, and I don't like soccer, and don't want to watch the highlights :P
