gibs? i do not have them enabled on the server but have read logs about people saying why is there no gibs. is gibs something important to the game? is it the special grapghic kills? will it slow down server? do you feel they should be enabled?

if you disabled them in the game options, no one can see them. Double check i guess

ok but will it slow down the game for others on 56k? will it hurt bandwidth and cause more f9's? remember that sam was created by croteam.

well i enabled gibbs and played a few games and noticed after you kill someone they still manage to live. has anyone noticed that with gibbs? i have decided when server is empty i will disable gibbs once again. it really isnt worth the extra effect in the frag as long as you win is all that matters

That happened to me when I Gibs were on and off, It's just the ****ty Sam netcode :rolleyes:

OK.... Gibs being defined as the bloody chunks that go flying when you frag someone, that said...... in theory a computer that isn't being requested to use memory for generating the graphic content required to display the "Gibs" may run a little smoother and lag less also because that's also gonna be less data to transfer between clients.
