I gotta say...i'm pretty shocked none of you FireFox fans mentioned this, as it's been out since yesterday.

I'm not a fan - I like IE just fine - but it does have some nice features. Resumable downloads and a much less obtrusive "do you want me to remember your password" dialog are my 2 favorite features.

huh?

F11 mode or full screen pictures hide the top navigation bar and the tab bar as well as the usual bottom one...

I suppose there was a way to do it with the old version but I didn't find it...

Oh. I see what you mean now. Really? FF2 couldn't do that? Weird.

kinds sucks, some boards can't be viewed without adding a addon.

FF2 was better, going to roll back, if I wanted IE7, I'd use it.

That's the fault of the forum, not the browser. Place the blame (and heat) in the right spot - send a letter to the makers telling them you want the functionality.

Excellent browser. All of my gripes with Firefox 2 have been remedied.

I haven't gone to FF3 yet. My FF2 settings are personal perfection and I'm afraid I'll lose extension compatibility.
Did you guys lose some, most or all of your FF2 add-ons?

In a word..YES...I lost all but 2 of the add-ons that I had and most of the themes.
I guess it's just a waiting game until they update them. :(

I love the new Firefox. It finally remembers my Zoom in settings.

should be backwards compatible.

No, you don't understand. The forum actually has code that says "if the product name is "firefox2" (basically)...and they obviously don't want to call their firefox 3 browser "firefox2" again.

It has nothing to do with FF3. The coders specifically put in a line of code to verify the version, and not load the forum if they didn't recognize it.

I can't access my webmail either.....

Well, I could be wrong, but I'm willing to bet it's the same problem.

What exactly happens? If you're talking about it looking awful, then it's how FF interprets the code (which may or may not be written well to begin with). If you get a "page not found" type error, it could be either. In the case of the "Unknown User-Agent" message on the forum, anyways, that's definitely something coded in - Firefox isn't generating that message.

Am I saying don't switch back? Certainly not. If it doesn't allow you to do your day to day, then switch. I'm just saying that if you're getting custom messages, like the one on the {DS} site, it's the webpage software, not the browser.

How do I roll back to FF2?

This thread looks like the answer if you are running Windows XP.
