I know we have several folks in LA. I'm not sure about MS or TX Gulf Coast.

To all of you, you'll be in my thoughts. Good Luck to you all and stay in touch when you are able.

They have been gearing up around here for evacuation people, getting shelters setup for both people and their pets, testing equipment that can be sent to help out down there, etc ... I hope Gustav dies out, but it's nice to see people taking it more seriously now and getting prepared in advance instead of reacting after the fact like what happened with Katrina.

I went out this morning and there seems to be more than the normal amount of people out and about, longer lines everywhere and motorhomes/travel trailers can be seen at several places so the people are showing up either coming here or on their way somewhere else. When you take a knee, please pray for them.

I hate to say it but... This thing right now is bigger than Katrina was. Not as powerful but bigger. Good luck down there. Batteries, Ice, Water, Sterno, and canned food will help for when the power goes out.

Just remember if you loose water pressure you buckets to manually flush.

We've had over 4000 evacuees show up here in Tennessee already. Looks like folks down there learned something from the last one.

Heck I'm gonna fly a kite in it.I always sucked at getting a kite up but tonight I think I can do it!!!!!!
Tommorrow a little sailboating is on the schedule I am sure I will have a clear run with no other boaters in the way so I can open it up hehehe. J/k I have the dewalt flashlight and the Ryobi batteries charged up and the generater oiled and full of petro. Grill has propane and the carcoal is a backup.plenty of ice and water also. All I need is a boat incase we flood!!!
