Ok I remember that the last time I installed tf I got this errror but for the life of me I can't remember how to fix it .Anyone help on this one ?

Nope didn't work I have mcafee and it might be the problem.

I had trouble running TF2 after I first downloaded it until I restarted the steam client (some kind of documented bug). However, if you rebooted, this is probably something different.

I do sometimes have hl2.exe crash when I exit TF2, but haven't had any problems playing lately. Sorry I'm no help. :P
