I think I posted this ages ago but since oil is dropping faster than my prom date's dress, I figured it'd be a good time.

Texas got 2.24 today which is pretty amazing. In NY, we have around 3.45 right now so I hop the border into NJ and get it for 2.96

I watch the 4-5 stations that I pass on the way to work and back every day. I paid $2.89 on Sunday. I saw $2.74 on the way to work today.

It dropped from about ~4 down to 3.06 in less than 2 weeks.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe I've seen 3.06 in over 6 months, maybe closer to a year, here in michigan.

The deflation currently being experienced in the commodities market is hurting alot of people really bad. The deflation in gas prices is not necessarily a good thing. An aluminum stock I had last year went from around $90 when I told it, to around $10 now...unbelievable. All other commodities are seeing similar negative return, although gold saw the least, since people use it as a hedge.

it would be a better trick if they fix the economy. crude prices are at 1/2 their high and likely to continue dropping. the term is "demand destruction", when you overprice your product so much that you permanently damage the market that buys it.

$3.49....it's high for two reasons...I only buy premium....and Washington state taxes their gas (along with many other things). :)

lol you guys aren't going to believe this. If you live in CT near Vernon area come down to Dania foodmart gas is $2.19. I work there.:). Channel 3 news is coming today to interview my uncle because we apparently have the cheapest gas around the area.

I don't think it has much to do with elections since ALL commodities are in a state of deflation right now. IF it was just gas that was falling, then we could say it was being manipulated by the gov't in roder to gain more votes but this is not the case it seems.

oil futures were at $35 today (from $150). They say the next quarter opens tomorrow. It is expected that they will shoot up but then continue the fall. I think we will probably get $1 gas within a couple of months.
