Video Editing

Does anyone have a suggestion for free easy video editing software?

All I really want to do is increase the gamma level and maybe bump up the contrast in some videos I have that are a bit too dark.

A band I saw last night. I shot the video on my cheap point and shoot still camera but it's too dark. I can adjust the pictures just fine, but I have nothing for the video.

Only thing i can think of is WMM
SImple and easy to use, should be able to do what you need it to

doom9.org used to have a ton of tools related to DVD Backup. Quite a few of those tools would probably apply.
