This is always fun.

What was your favorite present that you received? Be it something really awesome, something that touched you, something unexpected or whatever.

Mine was a watch. I'd mentioned to my Mom many months ago to keep an eye out for something simliar but cheaper if she saw it. My folks and I generally keep Christmas very, very simple with a couple gifts around the 20-30 dollar range. It's always been about family and not "stuff".

I found out shortly after I mentioned this watch to her that it was discontinued - I couldn't find it anywhere when I'd go to check pricing.

So I was very surprised to find this as a Christmas present today - both due to the cost and due to it being discontinued.

It's a double bonus, something pretty swank AND something pretty surprising and meaningful. Plus I don't currently have a watch, so it's something that I'll be using a lot.

Well the special gift I gave was to basically the family it is th Wii video game ,we are going to use this Wii as a way to bring the gaming time I usually spend alone to play with the family. My gift that I will be getting in like a week is a box trailer that you can pull behind your vehicle and store tools into it. It will be safer for me to haul the tools and be able to load and unload more effecient.

Mine has two parts that are related ... Some of you have seen the computer driving simulator race cars and logos that i've done http://www.hostingphpbb.com/forum/index.php?mforum=shogunsdojo

My work has gotten around and recently I was hired to be the graphic designer for this company http://maximumsigns.net/. The business is small right now, but they have some great contacts in the racing industry and I welcome the challenge to help them grow. Their website & logo needed to be updated, below is the logo I did for them, in the old one you could not tell it was supposed to be a tachometer. This was win/win deal for me, I love graphic design and I get to work from home and send in my work over the .net.

The other part was that my family bought me the latest version of Corel Draw, the software that I use in my work ... well it's not really work if you love doing it. :)

Congrats Shogun.

Nice to get a job doing what you like to do and get paid for it.

My Christmas was a bit subdoed this year. I had the end of a cold to deal with, so I just stayed home. I didn't want to pass the cold onto my older parents, so I didn't head over. Going to have Christmas this Monday.

I did drink a bottle of Champagne last night. Today I woke up and felt the best I have in a week or so.

@ Who: Lolzers on the the ring. We'll keep workin' on ya. ;)

I got an iTouch, but decided to take it back as I couldn't see myself using it. With a laptop pretty much all to myself (work issue) and my own computer at home and work, I just couldn't find a way to talk myself into keeping it. Instead, it will be going toward the new TV (and furniture) fund. :)

Also, my youngest (6 mos) has some kind of eye infection, so he gave me eye boogers (his, not mine) for Christmas. The older 2 (4 and nearly 3 yrs) got their first bikes and it's been enough of a gift just to watch and help them learn to ride them.
