Encountered problems with putting in two sticks of RAM? Same size and brand!

I put in a second stick of RAM today and my PC boots, starts Windows and maybe after 5 or 10 minutes does a restart! I removed the new RAM stick and all runs fine!

Anyone else had or read about that kind of problem before?

That is all I can figure. You may have bad RAM. I haven't had any issues with my board.

That happened only when I had a bad stick. Drove me nuts for a while, though, as the bad stick had been 'good' for the year up to that.

hey as i mention in every thread to users using this board and any nforce2 board--put memory in slot1 and slot3. this will enablt the enhanced ddr mode aka dual channel.

GOOD LUCK
