If I have Windows Vista and I want to upgrade to Windows 7. Does clean install mean I can erase everything in my hard drive? Such as music, video, viruses, etc...?? It's basically the same as "reformatting the computer" right?

best way to upgrade is on to a second drive, do the clean install there and gradually copy over what you need and delete everything else. unless it is all trash, then just repartition the drive and reinstall.

Yeah, that's what I want. I just want everything completely erased as if I just bought a brand new hard drive with no files on it. Because when I get Windows 7, I don't want any "old left over Vista files" that take up room or any other unnecessary files.
