Well there is onyl one drug I am fully for legalizing and thats pot. It may have its downsides but so does booze and we live with that. No ideas what could be done down there and we're in no position to offer any assistance (although I'm sure we'll try in some half-assed manner)

I still say instead of seizing drugs, taint them and let the dealers sell a bigger poison. Be interesting to see who drops, how many kick the habbit. May solve the unemployment problem with some quick vacancies created, prisons would thin out......May sound cruel, but hey, we're over populated anyway :dunno:

Legalizing would thin out prisons as well, only way faster. By taint you mean poison? That would 'solve' any problems with over populated schools as well, wouldn't it?

Decriminalization of drugs is in fact significantly worse than if they were outright illegal. Legalization is the only answer I see. Al Capone was out of a job when FDR legalized alcohol.
