Well my OC on my 780i was starting to fail and not perform well in my game, constant crashes (mostly game related) and a couple friends had the i7 procs and loved them. I been dwelling on this for quite some time, and newegg just got the faster Corsair ram in as well. If ya can't see in the pic, here's a list of the new goodies:

As for benchmarking, I will use 3DMark, and probably the new Vantage as well. I don't have them in yet, had to check on some things to see if I had time to build tonight. I'll be running my 2X EVGA GTX 280's on this setup as well. Thought about some new cards, but think I am going to wait till the 300 series come out, and will see how the 280s hold up.

Not too fond of going to vista (I hate vista really) but wanted the 64 bit to get the most use out of it. Come on win7 and hurry up LOL

Sorry, I have been busy lately, and had a trip for work thrown into the mix as well. Also, had quite a bit of troubleshooting to do, to find out that my sound card was causing all my problems to begin with. Been toying with reformatting, since I have installed and uninstall so many drivers lately that it's insane. The only bench I ran was vantage, and scored 21633 and everything at stock speeds (that was also my proc downclocked to 2.8, multiplier was incorrect in the bios for some reason).

After all of that, I've been trying to get some gaming in on top of it. Will try and get some other benchs run to see how things are going and such.
