Since Gamemecca used to be a serious sam forum, I haven't seen any thread about Serious Sam HD yet. Almost every serious sam fan is looking for its release atm, so I do:D
Time to open a little thread here too if some of you haven't heard of this update from TFE / TSE yet.

btw there are still rumor that the pc-release will be earlier, that is August.

some more news:

Macro still exists, but it is deprecated and not used in SSHD/SS3. SE3 uses Lua for all scripting. Lua scripting in levels is very similar to the way macros work: Same stuff with event, on-handlers, etc, same user interface, with drag/drop for entities, group variables, etc. On-the-fly syntax suggestion and help is much better this time though, and the language itself is much more powerful (of course, because Lua is a general purpose language). You can do amazing things with it in the levels, but explaining that all deserves a lot more space.

serious sam forever : this will be a 'mod' remake of ss:fe using ss2 engine, think the screenshot above is from forever

serious sam HD: this also will a remake of FE first then SE later, it is to be DLC for xbox, maybe PC, from croteam

That trailer looked just like First Encounter, I was having flashbacks from the old days and saw nary a thing new ... Hang HD on the title, redo the box and you basically have SSDD
