Let's Talk About Mud!

Alright, so I admit it. I've always liked MuDs - the old school text based games.

I'm a dork and a geek, I admit it. A mud named Gemstone (Now found at http://www.play.net/gs4/) was the first online game I ever found - stumbled across it on AoL back in the day, and I liked them ever since.

There are a bazillion free ones out there - some good, some awful.

Anyone else ever play any?

I played the 1st Wizardry game on my Apple 2E, wasn't an on-line game, but I do remember not stopping until the sun came up.

I've met some of your gemstone buddies. Two of them even got married. Fun stuff, but I'm still enjoying WoW, even though it costs a few bucks a month.

Wizardry was a riot wasn't it? I just barely remember that. I was a kid and another kid I knew - his family had an apple and had wizardry. Had a blast playing it but this other kid I knew was really weird I didn't like hanging around him all that much. lol

And I forgot you knew some of the Gemstone folks. That really is hilarious that you wind up knowing someone I knew in an online game. Heh. And yeah, those two are a riot.
