So far within the past month, 5 police officers have been murdered. Both suspects were shot, only 1 is dead. The last one was out on the streets even though he was given 108 year prison sentence when he was younger

Curious as to what the general public thinks police being targetted & our judicial system.

He should not have been out on the streets. At least his justice was quick this time and they won't have the expense of jailing/appeals/execution.

If I was an Officer I would be pissed with the court system and convicts getting released when they should be in jail.

dunno about this. at the time of the change there were no objections by the prosecution or any of the original victims, so it was allowed. for issues like this you really need to look at the overall recidivism rate and not at this particular case as if it is "typical".

 There's no reason to let people like him back out into the public, and this case is why not. Well the good news is we won't have to worry about him murdering another person, as Tip said.

PE, you must have seen this right here in Hartford..

This guy claims he ran because the officers didn't properly identify themselves..I dunno, two guys in uniform in a f'in cruiser would kinda sum it up for me pretty quick !!

This part really pissed me off..

About 30 people attended the court appearance in support of Powell. One member of Powell's family told Eyewitness News that Bodner ( the officer) would have been better off dead.

wtf, over ?

Yeah, I saw that. A lot of people have no sense of accountability. Just think, that ofc makes probably about 40k to deal with that kind of shit.

Our judicial system is f-ed up beyond belief. So many bleeding hearts & protesting bastards.

I saw that the article about the killer being gunned down in Seattle, how the press mentioned officers shaking hands and patting each other on the back, I'm just waiting for someone to bitch about that!

Now after the smoke from the Petit Home invasion, rape & murder has cleared they're starting release more criminals early again & hey, let's close a prison too.

I say amp up the death penalty and shorten the appeals process. Want to thin out the prison population, I say release a few more to their makers.

It's why I have no faith in the justice system. This is what I refer to as "The Liberals are destroying this country". Let's face it, onlyin America are the criminals made out to be victims. I am not even sure why we have jails and figure we should make them in to complete resorts.

Again, only in America.
