Spartacus: Blood and Sand

This series has been running on the Starz channel this year, if you are a subscriber and have not bothered to watch, you have flat missed out on a great show. I'm not a subscriber, I just happened to hear about it and so far i've have watched the 1st-4th episodes and i'm of the opinion that it kicks some serious "300" ass! If you liked the movie "300", then you will love this even more. The shows are rated MA because of the nudity, sex, blood slinging and various other gory scenes with beheadings, body part dismemberments, etc ... There are some scenes that even made me go "Daaaaaamn!" :D

Also .... As I was getting ready to post this I happened to run across some very bad news about Andy Whitfield who plays the leading role of Spartacus, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma today. I hope he recovers, that is terrible news.

I been watching this and have not miss one. This series to me has been the best I have seen in a long time. Excellent and worth watching.

I don't watch much TV except for science, Discovery and History but this I go out of my way to watch it every Friday night without commercial because I down load it at Net-flex.

Shogun it's awesome and a must watch for anyone who enjoy a good story line and the effects are cool like the movie 300.

Btw if anyone of you guys decide to watch it the first one is a bit weak but after that it just keeps getting better and better and worth it.

There are 11, #10 just showed Friday night and was a stunner for sure. All I can say is that it's amazing what males, even very young ones will do when they get a little whiff of that good stuff. :)

I wonder where they are going to take the series. original sparticus did a slave uprising and was able to fight off rome for a couple of years. If they did a uprising in the show it would really change the dynamics. Not sure how Lucy could remain in it....

Now that was a great ending. I don't see how next season can hold up to what season 1 was, they sure have their work cut out for them.

The fight scenes were a big part, if they have all escaped that pretty much cuts out the arenas. :confused:

ya, awesome ending, but nobody knows where the series is going.
The word is that the lead, sparticus has cancer and season 2 was delayed so he can get treatment.
meantime they may be producing a prequel with a younger sparticus
not sure how well it will work. some of the best dynamics in the show were between trixus and sparticus.

I wish I can say more here but I would hate to say anything about it because I know some of the guys are still watching it or finishing up.

I think I know what will happen and that is they will be shooting it on September and we will not see it until next year of January of 2011 if all goes well for Andy Whitfield.

LUCRETIA played by Lucy Lawless and BATIATUS played by John Hannah are my favorite and has made a major impact for these Episodes.

So.... I watched the newest spartacus today. its no longer about spartacus but about the ludis. has "younger" versions of all the favorite characters. and yeah, it is going to be an awesome season. if you have comcast you can probably view it on demand without subscribing. cool....

"Usually" these things suck the second time around but I got to watch it lastnight and it was a good as the first season ever was. It will be good watching Crixas (sp?) develop and i'll say that the ending was pretty out there, i'll be interested to see where they go with that ... someone is going to die. lol

It didn't take long to get a "DAAAAAAMN" out of me, that shot of the guy getting his head cut in two about nose high easily got it out of me, that shit was NASTY! lol

Only 6 new shows that will be shown and so far 3 I have seen. If you have Net-flex you can see them too.
They display them not on the very same day but by the next day or so is when you can see them.

It's intense and wonderfully created. The show still has it's mojo, hehehe
