Science Channel had a special on synthetic life. The Biologist Craig Venter and his team have produced a synthetic bacterium capable of reproducing itself. This is a major breakthrough and can have a huge impact for all of us from food to medicine, diseases and earth’s environment.
Of course there are two sides to it where it can fall into the wrong hands and explode it but with supervision and the need for this is vital for this earth especially now and years to come.
If you have missed it, I am sure that it will come on again.
If you have seen the special, what are your thoughts on it?
