Yes yes, it's an IE question. Shut the hell up before any of you say use Chrome or Firefox or Opera or whatever. This is at work and all 12,000+ desktops use IE so there's no choice in the matter.

My question is this:

We finally moved to IE8. Great. Yay. Woo.

However, we have a few apps that run within IE and I have shortcuts on my desktop to them.

Previously, when I'd click on a shortcut on the desktop, it would open that up in a new window.

Now it opens in a new tab in the first existing window.

My question: How can I make the desktop shortcuts open in a NEW window rather than a tab? This is different than the setting for "Reuse windows when launching shortcuts". That's already turned off and this isn't *reusing* a window, this is starting a new tab in a window when I want it to open a whole brand new window.

Anyone have anything on this?

Sweet. Thanks. I spent like 20 minutes trying to find something on the net about it. Best I could come to was that site that shows the question but then you have to sign up to read the answers.

Thanks dude. Your webfu is stronger than mine!
