Hi you techies.

I want to watch my camera system in France on my Mac laptop from home. I have the correct IP address and Port settings but when i try to connect using the browser in Firefox it asks for a 'plugin'. I then search but it cannot find one. I've tried Opera and Safari but neither will work without this plugin?

I can watch it from my IPhone without problem through a Ap called APlayer but just cannot get my Mac laptop to work. Any suggestions?

Thanks

This is just my guess from the information you gave. There is probably a proprietary application you can install on your desktop. You need to find out what format the stream is being broadcasted in. If it's not flash, or an AVI stream, then it probably won't be natively supported by your browser (hence it thinks it needs a plugin.) What type of software is your camera system using?

The camera system has no markings on it front or back so i dont know? At the office in france we have a windows PC and watch the system thorugh a programme called D9-Viewer but this does not work on a Mac.
