Pick it up you bastards! $10 for the two HD versions and the original FE/SE, all on steam. If you have any of the HDs already you get gifts to give.

Honestly, I will never, ever, touch anything Steam-related. I will not be controlled by Valve. Ever.

Blizzard attempted to exercise more control over their gaming community by trying to have us use our real names online (at least in the forums) with RealID. It was pretty hilarious, and because of the backlash they backed down and scuttled the whole thing.

I'm guessing Blizzard (WoW and Starcraft) players have bigger balls than Valve players when it comes to saying "No, you will not do this".

Just sayin. :P

I am so pissed I missed this. I would have bought a few copies to give to some locals around that I know. This was a great deal and I F'ing missed it.

Sirc, I don't really understand your objection. steam does not expose your identity. your login is different (or should be different) from your username and can be changed at will. I used to hate steam pretty much like you, until I picked up orange box (half life 2, EP1, EP2, portal) and it pretty much blew me away.
Anyway give it a try. You can make a free steam account and add some free games, example alien swarm, http://store.steampowered.com/app/630/ and others. The deals they frequently have are pretty incredible.
