Is a good game now a days to blow sh!t up. Don't want to spend 50 beans on a game. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by blow sh1t up?
If you want like a sandbox style game you should be able to get red faction:guerrilla for cheap. Much of the game consists of destroying enemy buildings.
If you want a MP game with destruction 2.0, then you should check out battlefield:bad company2. Do enough damage to buildings and they will come down. awesome when opposing players are in them. Breach is also somewhat like that, but a much less refined game.

I've always been a big fan of the Grand Theft Auto series. Nice combination of blowing stuff up, first person shooter and driving game all in one.
